Seven or eight of us, including a Carrier Indian were running there. Terrific screeching and screaming and it was too high to see with heavy branches near the top of the trees. Was it a great owl and an eagle fighting, or a bald eagle and a golden eagle? We never did see them but as we were looking up a single eagle feather floated above us. A more fluffy tertiary feather, it slowly drifted down and landed in our group, on my chest. The native Indian made a big deal of this. Translation “The Eagle Man” he said!”
