The journey starts before you even step on the starting line. It begins with setting goals, logging countless training hours and kilometers in rain, sun and snow. From coast to coast, training runs are mapped with one common destination: Canada's premiere race weekend; The Ottawa Marathon. For every runner the journey is different and The Ottawa Race Weekend is a journey worth making.

Sunday:

Marathon 7:00 am

Half Marathon 9:00 am

Kids Marathon 8:00 am

Race kit pickup
All participants must pick up their race kits prior to their event. Race kit pick up for Saturday races ends at 4PM on Saturday May 29, 2010 and race kit pick up for Sunday races ends at 9 am on Sunday May 30, 2010. Runners unable to pick up their race kits prior to their event may send a proxy. Photo ID is not required. Please see times and locations below.

course tours
Complimentary tours of the marathon course will take participants along the route and past many of Ottawa's scenic tourist spots. You will need to pick up your complimentary tour ticket at the Info Kiosk at the expo as there is limited seating. To board the bus you will need your tour ticket. Tours depart and end at the Pfizer Health and Fitness Expo.

Late Registration is possible and can be done at the Pfizer Health and Fitness Expo, unless the limit has been reached earlier.

Entry fees are non-refundable. Entries are non-transferable to another person. That means that once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate. You may not transfer your entry to another participant, or to another year. The Marathon, in accordance with management executives, city officials and local law enforcement has the authority to cancel any of the events for emergency purposes such as, but not limited to, inclement weather or threat of terrorism. If such emergency conditions force cancellation, refunds cannot be provided since funds will have been spent in preparation for Race Day.

The Pfizer Health and Fitness Expo is free and open to public. The expo focuses on the health, fitness and wellness of runners and endurance athletes. Exhibitors include retailers, personal trainers, nutritionists, physiotherapists, and other health professionals.

Each year, we rely on the support of thousands of dedicated volunteers to help staff one of the most exciting events in this city. Volunteers provide integral support throughout race weekend at many exciting areas of the event.
